Product Warranty

At Vapeslane, we stand behind the quality of the hardware we sell. We understand that electronic devices can occasionally develop faults. This warranty policy explains the coverage periods for different types of products, what is and isn't covered, and how to make a claim. This warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

What You Need to Know

  • Different products have different warranty periods, ranging from Dead on Arrival (DOA) only, up to 12 months.
  • Our warranty covers manufacturing defects and component failures only.
  • Warranties are voided by accidental damage, user error, water/liquid damage, or using incorrect chargers.
  • You must retain your original packaging, including the serial number or authenticity scratch code, to process a warranty claim.

Warranty Periods by Product Category

Vaping products are consumable electronics and degrade over time with use. Therefore, warranty periods vary significantly based on the product type.

Vape Mods and Advanced Kits (Devices with screens/circuit boards)

  • Coverage: 12 months from the date of delivery.
  • Covers: Screen failure, chip malfunction, auto-firing (not caused by liquid ingress), button failure, charging port failure (if not physically damaged by force).

Batteries (External Lithium-Ion Cells e.g., 18650, 21700)

  • Coverage: 30 days from the date of delivery.
  • Details: Batteries are strictly consumable. The warranty only covers them if they fail to take a charge initially. It does not cover a natural decrease in capacity over time due to charging cycles.

Tanks, Clearomizers, and Rebuildable Atomizers (RDAs/RTAs)

  • Coverage: Dead on Arrival (DOA) / 30 days.
  • Details: These are mechanical items. Warranty covers manufacturing defects like poor threading or structural flaws evident upon unboxing. It does not cover broken glass after use or stripped threads due to cross-threading.

Coils, Pods, Prefilled Kits, and E-liquids

  • Coverage: Dead on Arrival (DOA) Only. Must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Details: These are highly consumable items. A burnt tasting coil after a few days is considered normal wear and tear, not a manufacturing defect. Prefilled pod kits are only covered if they fail to work straight out of the packet. Puff counts are estimates and not a guaranteed metric for warranty claims.

What is NOT Covered by Warranty

Our warranty is strictly limited to manufacturer defects. The warranty will be immediately voided if the device shows signs of:

  • Accidental Damage: Drops, impacts, deep scratches, or crushed components.
  • Liquid Damage: E-liquid leaking into the internal circuitry of a mod, or water damage.
  • Improper Charging: Using phone fast-chargers, tablet chargers, or any plug that exceeds 1 Amp (5V/1A) on a device not rated for it. This fries the internal board. Always use a dedicated battery charger for external batteries.
  • Stripped Threads: 510 connections that have been cross-threaded by forcing a tank onto the mod.
  • Unauthorized Repair: Attempts to open, dismantle, or modify the device yourself.
  • Wear and Tear: Cosmetic blemishes, paint peeling, or minor scuffs accumulated through normal daily use.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you believe your device has developed a manufacturing fault within the warranty period, follow this process:

Step 1: Troubleshooting

Before contacting us, please ensure you have checked the basics. Change the coil, clean all contact points with a dry cotton swab, ensure the batteries are fully charged, and check the manufacturer's manual for error codes. Many of the returns we receive are actually functional devices with a dud coil or dirty contacts.

Step 2: Submit a Claim

If troubleshooting fails, contact us at vapeslane@gmail.com with the following information:

  • Your Order Number
  • The exact product name
  • A detailed description of the fault
  • A short video (under 20MB) clearly demonstrating the issue (e.g., showing the screen error, or showing the device not firing). This significantly speeds up the process.
  • A photo of the authenticity code/serial number from the packaging.

Step 3: Evaluation and Resolution

Our technical team will review your claim. We may ask you to perform further troubleshooting steps.

  • If the fault is clearly demonstrated via video, we may issue a replacement immediately without requiring you to return the faulty item.
  • If the fault requires physical inspection, we will provide a pre-paid returns label. Once received, our technicians will test the device.
  • If a fault is found: We will issue a brand new replacement. If the item is discontinued, we will offer a store credit or an alternative product of equal value.
  • If NO fault is found or warranty is voided: We will contact you. The device can be disposed of, or returned to you at your cost (you pay the return shipping fee).

Escalation

If you disagree with the outcome of a warranty inspection, you may request a secondary review by a senior technician by replying to your warranty ticket and asking for an escalation.
